    How about this poem?
Withered vine and an old tree with a crow at dusk.
Tiny bridge and a family aside a flowing river.
Ancient path and a poor horse in the howling wind.
A heartbroken man is walking towards the westering sun to the skyline.

Could any say something about this poem, please?
It's written by an ancient poem in China, and we're fond of it,but when it' translated to English,I feel something stranged.
So,how do you feel like about this poem, just show me your opinion, thanks!

    I found this translation:

The withered vine, the weathered tree and the crow on the bough
The little bridge, the streaming brook and the country dwelling
The ancient way, the westward wind and the scraggy horse
The sun is setting in the west
At the end of the world is a woeful soul with a broken heart

I like the poem, both versions. I honestly think I like what you posted better than what I found.

I think it's beautiful, either version, and I thank you for posting it.

    Thanks!
And it's amazing that you find an another version.
I really like the poem, too. It used some views to express his feeling. And I do want to share more about the poet with you.
His name is Zhiyuan Ma,and he was born on 1250,which means he was 760 years old if he's alive, but he died in his 71.
When he was young, he dreamed to be an official. However, he didn't make it , so he was sad to leave this poem.
At last, he decided to do something he really liked, and that's the reason why he became a famous poet...
Lol!Thanks for your appreciating, and I do want to post more beautiful poems as possible as I can , on the other hand,it's hard for me to tranlate the ancient poems, however, I will try my best!
