I am having a problem with my 5 year old Frigidaire electric dryer. As I turn the knob to start it, there is a sound kind of like a motor sticking and the drier won't start. If I turn the knob on several times it won't even make the sound anymore and it will give off a slight burning smell. I have never had an issue like this with a drier. Any advice?

Just in case somebody is going to have the same problem... my issue is that the drum glider melted on the felt seal, probably due to overloading of the dryer. New glider and dryer works well now.
