How to remove a troy bilt riding lawn mower blade?

Hi,
The general consensus is to use a piece of 2x4 to block the rotation and turn counter-clockwise on the either bolt or nut. If it is a bolt, it is probably 9/16" or 5/8". If it is a nut, it is probably 15/16"
