    Low voltage to ignitor
Hi guys, I have a trane xe 90 gas furnace and recently it has not been lighting. I checked voltage to the ignitor and found it to be in the 66 to 75 volt range rather than the 120 required. Any help would be GREAT as it is starting to get cold in the house.

Does the ignitor glow at all? Do you hear the gas coming in?

Sounds like the ignitor relay contacts in the ignition module are worn/burned. Did you check the voltage going into the module? If you measure 115-125 volts in but far less coming out, the module is bad.

Yes, the ignitor does glow and the gas does flow. Sometimes on the 1st try, the gas sequence begins just as the ignitor is beginning to glow. Ater that it starts glowing about 10 seconds before the gas valve opens. I think it is just not getting hot enough.
