Plumbing costs for sewer connection
I am installing a 2nd bathroom and I did the most of work myself. I already plumbed the water in for the toilet and the sink. My house is on a slab, so I had to break up the concrete and make a trench for the toilet connection. My trench is about 2 feet wide and about 10 feet long and it's about 12 inches deep. I can see the horizontal run of the main sewer line a few inches down but I felt that it would be best for a qualified plumber to cut into it with a "T" and run the 10 feet of PVC to the toilet, including the drain for the sink and the vent pipes for both. I would then fill in the trench myself and run the connected vent pipes out of the roof. I was just trying to get some idea of the cost - one plumber said roughly $1600 and another said about $1900. To any plumbers out there or anyone who has had this type of work done, does that price sound reasonable? Any help appreciated. Thanks.
