Dryer tripping circuit breaker after 10 minutes
My dryer blows after is has been running for about 10 minutes. I ran it today I let it blow. The prong for the black dryer wire was quite hot as was the breaker for the dryer. I have a four prong plug and the black prong is slightly discolored.

Should I be calling an electrician or a dryer repair man. I would hate to get someone in who will charge me $100 to tell me I called the wrong specialist.

How old is the dryer? If it's new I'd call an electrician. If it's old, I'd call the repairdude for the dryer. Something is shorting out. My guess would be the dryer element is shorting out. If it was the plug or house wiring it wouldn't run for 10 minutes.

For those reasons I would call an electrician. Sound like maybe a poor connection in the plug or receptacle. But that is only a guess.
