    Networking problems
I have three computers on a linksys wrt110 wireless router. 1 (desktop)(os is xp) is wired directly to the router via lan cable. The second is a wireless desktop (os is xp) and a third is a laptop (os is vista) that is wireless. Host is comcast cable. I had no problems until friends moved in... they have a dell desktop running vista home premium (wireless). When I turn on the later one, it knocks the whole network off line in spurts... the later one doesn't even have to have the browser open for this too happen.
I have read several posts on this and still can't figure it out...
    Please HELP!!

I think ScottGem is thinking of an IP address conflict. That would be why you get kicked off as each machine needs a unique address. The WRT110 should assign these.

Make sure all your machines are set up to use DHCP.

You can also go to your routers config screen and pull up the device list. It should list all your hardware and give you their IP address.

Check the ip addresses first and let us know what you find.

My two xista os computers had tcp/ipv4 and v6 checked so I set them both on v4 and the ip address on my router settings are as follows: 192.168.1.102,103,104,and 105. So far. So good. We'll see what happens...
Thanks a lot and will let you know what happens
