I no longer have a license in Ohio and now I have got in one CA.Ohio child support says they are going to suspended my license.So does that mean my CA license will be suspended.

Yeah, sure does. Here is a good word to know: reciprocity.

It may be or it may not depending on how Calif is notified. But once it goes into suspension then you may not be able to renew your Calif license until everything is cleared up. Why is it suspended ?

Well I have a CALIF LICENSE now.But in Ohio they say they are going to suspended it.

Like I had said. Calif may or may not suspend your current license but when they do a check at the time of renewal you can be denied in Calif until its cleared up in Ohio. Also Id like to add that I did ask why its being suspended. And its not that we are trying to be nosey here its about getting you the best answers we can. So being evasive isn't going to get you a good answer.

Normally for non payment of child support, yes California will honor the request, In fact they will most likely work though the interstate child suport enforcement on this.

It could be, if CA catches up with your child support arrearages from Ohio.

Well I got laid off my job and I have just got a new child support order .So now I have two and I'm having a hard time keep up with both.

Ok, now that we know that. Is it for 2 different children ? Or 2 on the same child ?

You may be able to seek a modification and at least keep up with the payments and then they can't suspend your license for that.
