I put in the request to a defense attorney in July, no responses for two months, finally, so exasperated with waiting, I was able to speak with her secretary. Within a month my motion was filed, set for the docket on October 9th. Two weeks ago, I was finally able to speak with the defense attorney and she stated that I would have to contact the specific judges court for information regarding my case. Is this right? If you have a lawyer who is NOT doing her job, FIRE her and get a new one. If she's appointed, write her a letter telling her why she's being fired. Send your letter certified, and send another copy to the judge and one to the prosecutor.
