Hi,
I just bought a RV panel from home depot (Connecticut Electric 80 Amp RV Panel with 50A & 30A Receptacles, Breakers & GFCI Duplex - CESMPSC75GRHR at The Home Depot). From the length of my run (100 some odd feet) and the amperage it appears I need to run 3 #4 THHN wires in 1 1/4" conduit with a separate grounding bus at the sub panel location (per code?). My question is I'm not sure what I should use at the main for this box a 50A double throw or 70A or should I just run it all the way up to an 80A double throw (this seems dangerous to me). Only thing that fouls me up with this install is the 120VAC GCFI outlets in that box..

The Breaker protects the wire and is safe.
They GFI receptacle needs a Hot, neutral, and a ground. Likely already connected and protected by the 20 Amp Breaker.
Anything connected to it and where from?

Then I don't even put in a breaker at the main panel for this? That's not legal is it? I realize this subpanel has breakers also but it was my understanding that I have to have them wherever I am also branching off power from
