Tiny black bugs that can fly but generally seem subdued
Hi I live in Australia and having a huge problems with these tiny black bugs that sometimes fly (but not often). It is summer here now, and they have only recently appeared during the heat. I spray them with bug spray, as with the window area, but they keep re-appearing.

My bugs are appearing near the front door, which is near a cupboard that contains the washing machine and cleaning products... so there is a pipe there too - and last I noticed the pipe has some gaps - could that be the problem?
I also noticed some on the ceiling. I have down lights.

I have also noticed them around my bedroom window and living room window... one flew onto my bed!

Also - my place is floorboards, except for the rug in the living room.

They do not seem to bite and are more annoying than anything else.

I have used bug spray, even a bug bomb spray and have bought window fly stickers... anything else I can do? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks very much.

Sealants may help. Some weatherstripping around the doors, caulking around the windows, and foam sealants where the pipes go through the wall will help keep everything out, including summertime heat and winter chill. Keeping mulch and foliage away from the foundation wall will make the house less hospitable, too.

As for the bugs, on the other thread we were talking about small beetles that occaisionally invade from outdoors. Can you post a pic or describe them in detail? If you can get an identification more specific control measures might be available.
