I have a old house the wire coming out of ceiling has only two wires no ground! I have recently installed french doors. I have two lights out side I ran a wire from home power and separate wires from each light to the box were the home power is. Can't figure how to wire it to a single switch I tried all the whites together and wire nuted it and the blacks 3 of them to switch? One outside light never turns off and one works when using the switch can someone help me out?? I would appreciate it

I'm sorry but I'm trouble following you post. Are you saying that you

A. Ran a cable from the ceiling fixture to a switch.

B. From the switch you ran a cable to each exterior light.

C. At the switch, you connected the 3 white wires together.

D. You connect one of the black wires to one terminal of the
Switch.

E. You connected the other two black wires to the other
Terminal of the switch.

Sounds like you need to disconnect the switch and separate the wires and use a test lite to figure which wire is hot when the breaker or fuse is turned on or replaced. Then hook the hot wire to one side of the switch and the other two blacks to the other side of the switch. The way you describe it, the one that never turns off must be connected to the same side of the switch as the hot wire. And the other lite only comes on when the switch is turned on.
