    Install toilet in basement
    Install toilet in basement.
How do I know where to cut into drain pipe?
Main floor drain pipe comes down into basement floor at the back of house, basement floor drain is in center of house, than it runs out to front street. Can I cut in anywhere or?
    Also want to install sink.

    Hi Effects

You can usually locate the main drain pipe in the home by drawing an imaginary straight line from the base of the waste stack inside the home to the main drain cleanout inside or outside your home.

Once you "locate" the main drain within reason you can open the floor and connect into the drain just about anywhere along the develpoed length of the main drain pipe.

If you are installing a 1/2 bath and wet venting is permitted in your area (check local code requirements) you can install a toilet and sink and use the 2" sink vent to WET VENT The toilet, OK?
