Gas furnace and cooking stove sounds like a blowtorch
Furnace sounds like a blowtorch when the gas valve opens but it also happens with my cooking stove. I have had the gas company check it 2 other times because it was just every now and again, but now it happens every time the furnace kicks on. All they told me was the regulator is fine. If it was just one or the other I would think the furnace or stove was bad but not both at the same time.

I am with you on this one. Usually that sound indicates to high of a operating pressure. If both units are doing this the there is only one common denominator and that is the gas line pressure. Is it propane or natural gas? How do the flames look? Are the flames moving away from the orifice with a gap between the orifice and the flame?

It is propane. The flames are going straight up and I mean way up. They are blue on the bottom and yellow on top. How do I make the gas company understand something is wrong with the regulator?

Yellow indicates incomplete combustion, the result of too much fuel or not enough air. If more than one appliance is affected, it is very likely excess gas.
