    Direct drive 10" tablesaw
I have a 10" sears tablesaw that is about +/- 5 years old.it ran fine until I used it yesterday, turned it off and it sounded like it stopped very slowly. I noticed it ,checked the blade, saw it was loose and tighted it. I thought that would fix it but now it shakes like a bearing is loose?not sure what it is... any help would be great... thanks in advance

    Hi,
Would say the blade was not centered before tightening.
    Peace,

I checked the blade.. that's not it...
I took the top off to access the motor.. took the shaft of and saw the metal filings inside the worn gear :(.. can I get a new gear or is it easier to get a new saw?
