I am 17 yrs old and I am asking what I would have to do to get custody of my two sisters (13 and 9). The situation at my moms house isn't acceptable anymore. I'm not trying to steal them from our mother, its just that with everything she has going on, she can't really take care of them. I want to get custody so that she can get her straight, and then prove to me that she can care for them. I would call children's services, but I've dealt with them before and in my experience they have only made things worse. I don't want to split my family apart either... I just don't know what to do anymore.

Nothing you can do really at 17. Your going to have to rely on the system. Right now your not in a legal position to do anything.

After you are 18, you could try but to be honest it is going to be hard,

If the mother will not just let them come and live with you.

Where are the kids fathers ?

Thank u for the help. The fathers are in different states and want nothing to do with them.

I am talking to my mom now about them coming to live with me when I turn 18 I practically raised them even when we had nothing so I kind of no what I'm doing I just don't want them suffering. And I want to give my mom time to get on top of her stuff and to get her health back cause lately its not too good
