Business breaking lease agreement in Washington
In June, 2009, my condo assoc. leased space in the building (not a residential unit) to a small business. The business owner requested a two year lease, which we provided. In October, the business owner verbally notified one member of the condo assoc. that she intended to vacate. We made many attempts (via registered mail and email) to contact the business owner and advise her of the lease agreement and the implications, but all attempts were completely ignored. On November 1, 2009, after only 5 months, the business owner vacated the property, breaking the lease.

The business has relocated to a new location within a mile and a half from here. What options do we have to hold this business accountable for their lease at least in part?
