I would like to install separate switches to my ceiling fan/light. I have power coming into the switchbox and one 14-3 going up to the fan/light. Can I do it with this setup? Thanks

Hi! Melnor, welcome to AMHD :)
You will have to run 14-3, and another switch, to the new switch location, then follow the 4-wire setup. The rest is explained here:

Edit...
From the way you describe, you will also have to run a separate 4-wire for power.
I'm not looking to add another switchbox. I just want separate switches in the switchbox described above. Thank you though.
..
hkstroud, Thanks I knew it was a simple fix, I just couldn't picture it. Thanks for the help, Mel
Neither could I.
What advantage is there to having two switches, in the same box serving the same appliance?
Is it one serves the fan only... the other the light only?
You can buy a double switch that will fit into one switch box but you will still have to run one more wire to the box the fan is connected to.
Bad advice removed from one post.
And two posts removed referring to that advice.
Carry on.
Some of the advice you left isn't great either, lol.
The diagram is correct.
The 14-3 currently installed, I am assuming that only 2 of the wires are being used? If so, you can simple use the third wire, add switch to the box, and wire it as per the diagram.
