    Washing machine drain overflows
My house was built in 1969 and I have a septic system. When my washing machine drains the pipe in the wall overflows. If I stop the cycle the water quickly goes down the drain... I have snaked the pipe several times with no luck.. Not sure if it is a problem with the pipes or the appliance... please help.

It is clogged drain. You will have to have it cleaned so it can accept water input from your washing machine.
