    A Dog on Bendryl
How often and how long can you give a dog Benadryl?

Once a day. I would call a vet to be sure. I'm not sure how big your dog is. You may have to cut the pill in half. I would stay away from liquid anything when it comes to dogs.

Benadryl will actually make your dog drowsy. A lot of people use benadryl to drug their dog out for vet appointments or grooming appointments. You should really stick the raw honey and consult a vet that specializes in dog allergies. They will be able to run the correct tests and give you the right type of meds to help him out.

The general dosage is 1mg per pound.
It can be given every 8 hours MAX.

Always consult a vet before giving your dog Benedryl to make sure you do have the right dosage, some dogs might have health issues and require more or less than the average canine.

Why do you need to give Benedryl?
Bee sting? Allergies? Coughing? Sneezing? Other?
