    Car jolting
Hopefully someone out their can help me out. I have a 94 honda civic dx and when I come to a complete stop it starts jolting a little. Its not that bad right now but I don't want it to get any worse. I noticed the engine light goes on after I drive it for only a short period. Another thing I've noticed when I try to accelerate it takes a minute to take off. What can I do to solve this problem other then going to a mechanic and forking out lots of cash?

First, check for any codes being thrown. Second, make sure the spark plugs are relatively new. Only use the NGK spark plugs which are specified for your Civic. Third, make sure the idle rpm and timing are set correctly.
