I am not sure, check with your mortgage lender, ask if you by chance purchased any insurance that pays your mortgage payments should you lose you employment. I never buy that type of insurance, it seems rather expensive to me... I just find a way to stay current, whatever it takes as long as it's honest work. Good luck.
Some non profit organizations have short term payment assistance programs. I would start with some of the larger churches in your area or The United Way.Quote:

You can sometimes work out a new structured payment plan with them. A friend of mine went through a divorce and she worked out a temporary payment plan with her bank until she could sell the house and they didn't even report any delinquency on her credit bureau.
