Is there any way to lose 40 pounds in two months and be healthy and if so is it affordable?
If you are hugely obese, then yes, it is possible to lose that much in two months. If you are just a bit fatter than you would like, but you don't have doctors telling you to lose weight or die, then no.
The best way to lose weight, and the most affordable, is to stop eating junk. A special meal in McDonalds for a couple of bucks can seem like a bargain, but overall, you'll spend more than if you shop carefully and avoid all the ready meals and junk.
Shop round the outside of the supermarket. Fresh veg (whatever is in season and cheap) and fruit. Fresh fish and meat (again, look for what is cheap that day. If there's a special, buy extra for the freezer). Oatmeal instead of box breakfast cereal. Milk and cottage cheese, stuff like that.
A whole chicken is not expensive, and you'll get about five meals out of it.
No sugar, ready meals, processed food, biscuits, cakes, candy etc. Even the low fat ones are high calorie, and they are very expensive for what you are getting.
Stop drinking soda and go for water or tea (green tea is excellent). Drink coffee at home, not in Starbucks where it costs a fortune.
