Can't connect on 1 of 3 laptops to wireless network
My wireless network was working fine for 3 computers . I had a an upgrade on my work computer and can no longer access my wireless conecction at home on that computer. THe other computers have no problems connecting wirelessly. The computer that I can't connect with at home has no problem connecting to other networks away from home. I have a netgear router MR814 b router at home I believe the other networks that I can access are G routers.

Can a PC not be compatible with a b router due to an upgrade?

If I were to upgrade to a g router would run I into problems with the computers that are now connecting to b router?

    Thanks for the help

I assume you are talking about a Operating System Upgrade? If so your wireless card must be reset with the router at homes network information. This is the network name, encryption. This information usually come from the routers configuration or what is called the user interface. It sounds like your wireless card is working OK in and of itself since it can connect to other networks. If you PC connected at home before the upgrade with the same wireless card then it is a matter as I said of re-setting the wireless info to that card with info matched on your router. On the info about wireless b and g... they are usually compatible. 802.11b/g - Are 802.11b and 802.11g Compatible?
