I think its going to depend on the reason for termination. If a company is folding under then they may still have the right to let you go. But for simply applying they don't have the right to do so.

Thanks, I have been reading a lot of Blogs and researching a lots of websites, I have a lot of times on my hands. What I'm trying to do is make a difference for the women that work there now. It was a very hostile work environment and the 2years I was there I can only count 6 breaks and I don't know how many miss meals breaks that she took away from us. The Employee right posters where not in every office, it was in the break room in a different building. I want these women to know they have rights and not to let the Manager harass, threaten or stalk them with their job if they take a break! We were slave driven everyday in a very hostile and stressful work environment that any mistake was a write up and a threat with your job.
