Following interviews etc for a federal job I got a call requesting I send my last W2 and 5 wage slips to interviewer as HR needed them(?) but to be clear this was NOT an offer of employment. I later learnt my prevous supervisor had been verbally contacted for a reference.
What is the HR process in Fed jobs?
I applied for this job at end of July and it is now mid November. If I understood process it would make waiting easier.
How long does Federal Recruitment take?
Any information will be helpful.

I don't know. Call the HR person and ask. It doesn't hurt that he knows you're interested.
