Hi,

I had a Miscarrige and had to have a D&C on the 12th of August. My last period after that was on the 25th September so I am nearly 3 weeks late. I have done 2 Urine tests and One was negative and the other had 1 strong line and a very Faint one. So I went to the doctors and had a blood test and it was also negative. I feel like I am pregnant I feel sick head achs tired and bloated. We are trying to have a baby and really want this. Was wondering if anyone had been through this and if they were pregnant or if they were not what was wrong!

Im sorry to hear about your mi iscarriage, when I found out I was pregnant I didn't get a positive test till I was nearly 6 weeks late, if you are pregnant the pregnancy hormone just might not be strong enough yet. You could go and get another test a try again or go back to the doctors for another blood test.

I agree with charlyjefferis. Just because you had a negative blood test does not meant you're not pregnant. Most of the time women go in a bit too early for the doctors to see it as positive.
We had a similar case with our Surrogate. She was a week late for her period so we took her in after getting a faint line on an HPT, they said she wasn't pregnant since she only had 5mUI/hCG, which she would have been at if she was pregnant. They simply didn't want to understand that she had JUST missed her period and were counting from the month before. She also never came up strongly positive on an HPT until she was just over 9 weeks pregnant, and then the blood test finally took positive as well.
So just because you had a negative doesn't mean much until some time has passed. If you feel pregnant and still haven't gotten your period, stick to your feelings and go back in. It's their job to help you!

Thank you so very much for your post's. Unfortunately I started bleeding yesterday so it looks like the tests were right. But that's OK cause now I can start again. Devastating waiting and waiting but you have to think of the positive and now I we can start again.
