I filed W7 form to get an ITIN number for my wife. And I understand that I should be getting some response within 4 to 6 weeks.
Its already been 6 weeks and I got no response. Called IRS and waited for about 30 minutes on hold and then got through a CS agent.
He told me since I did not get a response I should file again. I told him that does not make any sense. He told me that he cannot help me in any way and the only thing for me is to file a W7 again.

I do not understand what kind of system they have!!

It is too soon to re-file; you should at least until 7 December 2009.
