Hello - want to know what this message means, or if this just an error message and if so, how can I correct the error: "other computer are logged on to this computer. shutting down windows cause them to lose data. do you want to continue shutting down?" this message appears every time I shut down my computer. Thanks -

If you have other computers on your network that access your computer, or you have other user accounts on your computer, this is normal.

If you would like to change this, go to
Start
Settings
Control Panel
User Accounts

Then you can see if there is another user created on your account... it may be a guest account that is enabled.

There is a guest account that is not active. There is only one account. Thanks -

As a thought, if your using Windows Live, Exit from that before shutting down. It's in the taskbar.
