I have iritis and I'm using Pred Forte. I want to get off these steroids. Is it an alternative medicine for this and if not, what types off foods should I be eating. I'm a diabetic. Thank you.

You should continue with your diabetic meds, and your regular diabetic diet, but before going of any medication prescribed for you, you should check with your doctor first.

Edit: Your medication, med forte is an anti-inflammatory, specifically developed to control the symptoms of your eye disease, you should not discontinue this medication. There is no diet that will replace the effects of this medication.

I agree with Tickle. Although its Pred Forte not Med Forte. You know I got to poke you a little fun. Anyway, this is a very important medication. I'm sorry but please don't be convinced that diet exercise or anything other than doctor prescribed treatment will help your ailment. Please follow doctor's instructions carefully. They went to school for so long for a reason.
