When I turn on the furnace the burner doesn't turn on what should I do?
I need a little information to help. I would try to turn the furnace off and on, if that doesn't work, you may have to call a service man.
Northern needs to know what does happen. Do you have power to the thermostat? Does it make it back to the W terminal of the furnace? Is the pilot on, or the ignitor glow? Does the gas come on but go off quickly?
My Intertherm furnace (model-MAC 1265) stopped working. When I turned up the thermostat the furnace came on but didn't kick in. I looked inside and noticed the pilot light was out. I tried to light the pilot light but nothing happened. Everything else works like it should but I can't get it to light . I can hear the gas when I hold down the pilot light but it won't light for some reason while pushing ignitor over and over again. I checked the igniter to see if that was my problem but it works fine (got shocked real good). Please let me know if there is something I can do. It is an older furnace probably about 25 or so years old in a mobile home. Thanks...
