    Co-signer information for Texas
Hi... I apologize in advance if I am in the wrong area.

Issue: I currently live in Georgia and my daughter and grand-daughter live in Frisco, TX. Can I co-sign for her even though she is not a student? I am just trying to help them out is all. Someone told me that in Texas the only way an apartment would accept a co-signer is if she were a student or first time renter. About 3 yrs ago she was evicted when her fiancée was killed in a boating accident and she left everything behind to come and live with me... but has since returned to Texas.

Can someone help and let me know??

    I wouod appreciate any feedback.

    Thanks!
Happy Veterans to all those who have served for our country and are still doing so!

    Hello s:

I don't think there are any laws on the subject... The only person who you and/or your daughter needs to convince is her future landlord... And, why wouldn't the landlord do it? He wants to get paid, and the more people on the hook the better his chances are.
