Can I work in France as the spouse of an austrian?
I am a Canadian, living with my austrian boyfriend in Montreal since 3 years. We are planning to move to France, and try to figure the best way for me to be able to work freely in France.

    My question is:
if we marry in Quebec before leaving, does this gives me the right to work freely in france as the spouse of an austrian?

We plan to have our marriage paper approved by the austrian consulate before leaving Canada.

Any info will be much appreciated!

You have to be legally married and since you are not under EU, you will have to apply for work permit.

What does 'legally married' mean, a marriage in Canada would not be 'legal' to EU?

Would it be better to marry in France then?
