My girlfriend missed her period. It was supposed to start on Saturday November 7, 2009. It is now Wednesday November 11, 2009 and she still hasn't started. We had intercourse twice once on Friday November 6 and once on Sunday November 8. She said that she had a brown discharge on Tuesday but she said that she usually doesn't get that until the end of her period. Her period usually lasts 4 days and if she was supposed to start on Saturday then the brown discharge at the end of her period would be right. Do you think she is pregnant or do lots of girls miss their period. She has been on loestrin 24 for a few years. Any answers to this would greatly help...

I would suggest doing a pregnancy test,followed by a trip to the doctor.

If she is only just pregnant there may not be sufficient hormones yet to register on the test.. use first urine of the morning...

There is no 100% fool proof contraception on the market,so there is always a chance of pregnancy when you have sex.
