Where I can check my current status?
    Hi,
My husband and I are F-1 visa. But changed his to F-2 as depended on me. Now we have a baby and I have to take care of her and it's difficult to go to school, we want to change him again to F-1. The thing is that we didn't file anything to change his visa, only the director of the school did, and now she is telling that she is not sure what status is he. My question is: Is there a way to check somewhere what is his status now(F-1 or F-2). I'm not sure that from the school they changed him at all because he didn't receive any letter from the immigration that his status has been changed. Where I can call or to check online somewhere what is his current status in the immigration system?

To change status, you need to get new I-20 and submit I-539 together with the new I-20 to immigration. You will need to sign the form, nobody can do it for you. It looks like nothing has been done... you need to find out with your school... get a copy of everything.
