H1b filed in USCIS but might lapse stay as tourist in USA
Hi, I have an H1b petition which will be filed in USCIS on the 19th of November, 2009, but that is my 3rd month here in USA.. and I only have 6 months to stay because I'm changing my status here from B2 visa to H1b, if ever the 6 months is almost coming and still no approval from USCIS, what are my other options just to avoid out of status?

    Thanks in advance! :)

H-1B applications are accepted once a year on April, and result would come out a few months after that. Your only option is return to your home country and return to US after H-1B is approved.

Hi, the company who will petition me is a noncap company, meaning they can file a petition anytime of the year. My only worry is, my stay might lapse before the approval comes out. I have another option which is to get married with my long time boyfriend who is a US citizen, I want to ask, if my papers has been filed, is it still okay to get married?
