    Scotts 1642h drive belt replacement
My son-in-law gave me a Scotts 16 x 42 automatic that he said ran fill but just did't go forward or reverse.
I looked up underneath and the belt appears to be broken and entangled.
I can get a new belt from my local John Deere Parts store but then how do I put it on.
I'm also not sure its worth it but it has a new battery and starts and runs good.
My old Murray is about 'shot' and I could use a newer mower.
How can I get an owners manual and service manual?
    Tks Jim

    Hi,
The manual (owners) is available from Manuals On Line for free at:
