I'm sorry that it took me so long to return to here, dane987! I was writing a rather long response on another thread and also had to restart my very old and slow computer.

If you would like to get to know her and be friends, are there opportunities where the two of you might be able to do things with others as a group, please?

I've had crushes on many, many girls. There's only a small percentage of those though with whom I ever became friends or even did something together.

It's really tough being your age - so many things to learn, explore and do...

"Water seeks its' own level". That's a basic law of physics. It's very much the same way with people. People tend to seek out and be with those who are like themselves.

As you grow, learn and explore, you'll be finding those types of people who are of the same kind of mind and person that you are. The kind of mind and person that you are and become will largely be a matter of choice on your part.

Set your dreams and try to realize them, but be realistic. We can't all do everything or be anything. There's only so much time...

Do you have friends with whom you're close to in some way, please?

I remember a girl in high school... I was in band and we were all supposed to hold hands for something. I think that it was in a dance line for a show of some kind.

I was attracted to her, yet she wouldn't even hold my hand for what we were to do as a group. It really hurt me!

But, as time went on, I realized how petty that was and that there were others with whom I could be friends and grow to love and honor each other.

And, you know what? It really happened!

There is always hope! :)

Just be real and try your hardest, but realize that we can't be friends with everyone. It took me until I went to college and someone told me that, to realize that it was true!
