I know that many or maybe even most Christians think that there will be a one world government under the Anti-Christ.
I am a Christian, but I do NOT think that will happen. I think the ONLY one world government will be under Jesus Christ after His return.
If you think there will be a one world government under Anti-Christ, I would like to see the Scriptures that you base that on.

Nope. Never going to happen. Even after the Messiah comes, individuals and groups of individuals will have their own interests, needs and desires. As long as that is true, there can never be a single world government that represents them all.
The only difference will be how these various governments will handle their differences. The fact that there will be different governments will not change.

I believe they are going to use the global warming/climate change thing as a means to get some sort of one world order. I don't believe it is going to come to completion or be successful but I believe they are going to have some sort of one world order to some degree.
I expect there will be attempts to establish it. We are seeing the development of trade blocs now which will effectively reduce the number of governments. You can see in the way the EU has developed how the process works. First lowering barriers to trade, then a common currency this is followed by a central law making body, so next we can expect a United States of North America and the US and CHina are already in lock step on currency, they are now so mutually dependent that they might as well broaden their relationship. The prophesies regarding the anti-christ don't suggest one world government but very powerful blocs. We must avoid reading these prophesies as being all inclusiveQuote:

I understand that the rapture COULD take place before then, of course.
But prophecy is given for us to understand the times we live in, and if we properly inform people, then perhaps more will realize that the Bible is relevant after all.
We have gone past the ten state alliance in Europe, someone is busy trying to form one in Asia/Pacific, But we could do Australia/New Zealand and add a few Pacific states, it is all very how you like itQuote:

All end time prophecies deal with Israel, and the nations that interact with her. The 10 kings have to be out of the old empires that opressed Israel in the past. That is why they are seen on the fourth beast (Rome) in Daniel's vision.

Rome itself never had the 10 horns, so they apply to the end time, but they are historically connected to Rome.
John saw the beast with 10 horns also.

3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

Only, John is seeing the complete conspiracy of Satan from the time he deceived 1/3 of the angels to the very end time.
The beast of Rev. has 7 crowns because finally Anti-Christ defeats 3 kings and makes himself #7. Now he rules the alliance which becomes the 8th and final government that will oppress Israel.
I feel like there could be a one-world government, but only under extreme circumstances.
For example (not that I believe this) if aliens were to attack and threaten the planet, I feel like the world would unite under a common cause. (even in that case, there could be a few countries that could side with the aliens, or decide to fight them in a different way, etc)
In the world we currently have, citizens of all nations are not united on a common cause. In fact, the exact opposite - we are encouraged to continue to re-enforce boundaries instead of try to diminish them.
It would be pretty amazing if it were possible, though.

Jesus never said that the devil lied about this and that the kingdoms of the world are not given to him.
So under one government or under many we know who is behind them. The devil likes power and authority and he manipulates men and women and nations to achieve his goal.
We will see the rising of the last worldly empire , the one that will combine the Babylonian,the MedoPersian,the Greek and the Roman and this will be the antichrist's power.It is said that this empire will be Europe.America's super power is fading and it is passed to Europe.

There is a sign inside the European parliament saying '' we will finish what our father Nimrod (the founder of Babel) started ''.
According to the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster there is no such thing as as a one world government. It is preached that as long as The Eight "I'd Really Rather You Didn'ts" are followed we can all live together with our differences.

The final form of worldy governments will be unstable and weak. There will be no unity, only continual squabbling until Jesus returns at that time and sets up the Kingdom of God on Earth in a visible, literal sense.
I believe that there will be a world-wide time of great tribulation, but there will not be a one-world government until Jesus Christ sets one up.
Man's effort at the Tower of Babel was doomed, and man's vision for a one-world government in opposition to God is likewise doomed.
Revelations was a coded letter to the Christians at the time, referring to Nero (666) and Rome (The great prostitute). Rome would have seen like a one world government. It is heavily symbolic and Christians waste a massive amount of time mucking around with it when they should be helping the poor.
“No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father” (Mark 13:32).
As far as I know, Revelation is the only book with a promise given for the reading of it.
So we're not exactly "mucking around", but, yes, The Father is the only one who knows the exact time.

Even without attempting to set any date there are still many things to be learned from the Book of Revelation.
