Sry if this has been asked before but I'm a plumbing noob and have no idea what is going on. A few weeks ago I heard a noise under my house (crawl space) and it sounded like something was taking a hammer and just banging on the wall near my washer and dryer room. After a while it went away, so I went under my house and went looking for a critter or something that might be making this noise and of course found nothing. Then one afternoon my wife was taken a shower and I heard it again and was like WHAT IS THAT?? So I went under my house and saw that the water line from my pump is shaking back and forth so bad that its causing the other end ( near my washer and dryer room) to clack against the wall. It really strange to look at cause the hose has to b 30 feet long and its just going back and forth like some deamon is shaking it LOL. Anyway does anyone know what this might b? PLEASE HELP TIA

Do you have a pulsing shower head. If so these can cause you water pipes to vibrate. Securing the end of the pipe that banging may be the only solution.

No pulsing shower head but I have noticed that my water pressure seems to be pulsing around the whole house meaning every time I turn the water on (no matter where) it seems to be strong then weak and continues the whole time I have the water on.

Do you have air coming out of your faucets? Take a look at the pressure gage. Is it fluctuating up and down? Your pump might be cavitating, (surging). Has it been dry in your area? No rain for a spell? Let me know. Tom

No air coming out of faucets and I will take a look at my pressure gauge to see if its fluctuating. As far as rain lol naw I live in richmond virginia, no problems with rain here this year. And if it is cavitating (surging) how would I go about fixing it?

Hi Tom this is Snowblind (Mike) u posted a reply to my question https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/plumbin...elp-41435.html . Well I couldn't find the gauge on my water pump and the pump is still doing it. Any ideas on fixes for this before I call a plumber and he decides that I have no clue what I'm talking about and decideds to take me for a ride.

Sorry Mike, I thought the water table might be low causing your pump to cavatate or surge. This is one of those problems where you almost have to be there. Regards, Tom

No worries Tom, I really apprecieate your help in my situation:) and all of the facts you have now brought to my attention and Sense it sounds like I need to call a plumper I will call them asap to get my pump sounding normal instead of deamons beating on my pipes lol:D again thanks a lot Tom.
