    Implantation bleeding

What I would like to know is about implantation bleeding, I started what I thoought was my periods 7 days early it lasted a day and there is only a little when I wipe, I have always had very very regular periods 28 days, and how soon can you take a test.

Please see this link regarding implantation bleeding

Now, at 39 it is possible that you are starting to go through perimenopause, meaning that your periods will change somewhat. Lighter and further apart usually.

Also, at the age of 39 there are risks inherent with being pregnant. These risks are: Down's Syndrome child; pregnancy induced high blood pressure; placenta previa/abruption; eclampsia/pre eclampsia; gestational diabetes, just to name a few.

Are you currently under the care of an OBGYN? One who can guide you regarding the risks and benefits of pregnancy at your age? Are you already taking folic acid/prenatal vitamins? If you are not taking folic acid/prenatals, you should be.

My hormones were checked all is fine still ovulating very well, I know all the risks and I am currently under the care of a OBGYN. My husband is 10 years younger than me, he is the only boy in his family and has no children of his own.

Good for you. Glad to hear you are taking control of your reproductive health.

Now, you test after you miss a period. If you don't think the bleeding was your period test. If it is negative test again in a week.

Please explain why I would be getting period pains 3 days after a light period.

Well with me... the last time that happened I was pregnant BUT there where also times that happened to me and I wasn't. For the times I wasn't on the contraceptive (for prevention of pregnancy but above all regulation - I like to plan around my period :)) it was as if my body was trying to have its period but wasn't... or the bad case of PMS. I noticed that after kids my periods are 2 days... comes in 4 days late and gone but PMS is with me until Monday since Monday is the start and end date.

For pregnancy... it took 2 - 3 weeks for mine to show up positive... I caught both my pregnancies early! I had symptoms right the next morning... I didn't even believe my doctor when the test came up negative because "I knew something was up". But, I don't want to scare you even more... you will have to wait... if you think you had implantation bleeding then take the test but honestly it is so early I would wait a week or even 2 weeks to take the urine test again or if you don't drive yourself crazy thinking about it :)... take the test the first day of your missed period.

    Good luck!

Thank you, well I have been driving myself nuts have taken two test already and both negative I was meant to only start in 4 days and my periods are so regular its scary so to have a light period 7 days early was strange. The only signs I have is the period pains and being queezy most of the day, no sore breast or anything like that.

    Just a tip:

IF it was implantation bleeding, it would still take quite a few days for a HPT to register an accurate result.

    Good luck

My last period was on Oct. 19th and I started to ovulate between oct 31st - Nov 3... However I on nov 9th I started spotting that whole day it was very light but a bright red then on the 10th it turn into a brownish pinkish color and it only went on for a half of day and stopped. And I took a test on the 10th but it was negative but it was a dollar store test so I might not have been too sensitive to tell. But I haven't had my period yet it's suppose to come on the Nov. 16th but is their a possibility that I can be pregnant and if so what should I do.

Wait about a week or two and buy a good test. I use Clear Blue and it seems pretty accurate... unfortunately all you can do is wait.
