Don't even think about it, kid! 11 is WAY too young to be thinking about asking someone out. It's cool to be friends with girls- you can learn a lot about them by just being friends, but you shouldn't start dating until you're ready to get serious. Don't take this personally, but at your age, you're just not mature enough to be in a relationship- you are too young to be handling a young girl's emotions while she is probably at a confusing time in her life. And you are too young to handle the stress that is involved in a break-up.

I think 11 is okak because I'm 1 1 and 5 of my besr friends have girlfriends so look to other threads for an approch but yes go for it
