    Toilet flange leaks
 Just bought a house and the flange at the toilet leaks bad. Leaked at the joint of 90 and flange( type that goes on outside of 90 ). Bought a spray sealer and sprayed outside of pipe and bought a seal ( not wax ) but goes into flange and pipe almost to bend in elbow and has been good for 2 months now. Now is starting to leak again and need some help. Cannot cut the pipe and replace the 90 and flange because there is the stack and a y-pipe for sink drain then 90 degree elbow to flange and no space between any other the pipes from stack they are all butted together.

What type of pipes are we talking about? Plastic or metal? Is it the flange itself that's leaking or the connection between the toilet and the flange? Back to you, Tom

If I couldn't replace the flange I would pain the joint with PVC Primer and then run PVC Cement all around the joint to contain the leak. Good luck, Tom
