    Did you just do this?

    Are you flipping out?

Has anyone else seen it and you're just going on your initial reaction?

In my [humble] experience/opinion living with the results for at least a few days is recommended for the following reasons:

    - You, yourself, are probably in shock because it's such a drastic change and therefore may not be 'of sound mind' to make an objective judgement.

    - Your hair is still 'recovering' from this ordeal and exposing it to more chemicals so soon could result in something even less desirable (in your eyes); giving your hair a short 'stabilizing' period will allow whomever attempts a 'fix' to be dealing with a more 'solid' set of circumstances as opposed to trying to predict what reaction the new chemicals will have...

In this kind of situation you are most likely looking at lifting most of the colour and then applying the desired colour, keeping in mind that the natural highlights that your natural colour had will not be able to be restored, however a professional colourist would be able to apply high/low-lights to the colour closest to your natural shade.

Unfortunately it will be a while before you are able to enjoy complete restoration, however you may find that after accepting either the new colour or enduring the cost and time to go back to as close to your natural colour as possible, that there is some 'happy medium' that you hadn't even considered.

Good luck and try not to be so shocked by the contrast - you may find that this new colour will 'grow on you'...

If you want your natural color back, I recommend going to the salon. They will probably use a high lift color and place you under a hair dryer to warm the hair and maximize the lifting action to try to match your hair color as close as possible.
