I've been trying to resolve a problem for someone running xp s.p.2 , BTyahoo dialup

when they log in as sys admin they cannot connect to internet - error 691 invalid username or password

when they log on as any other user connection is no problem using exactly the same account \ password

no settings seem to have been changed and are identical for both admin and other users ( modem settings , dial up settings , i.s.p settings etc )

** the line is x directory but the prefix code 1470 is used in all instances **

any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

I have had this trouble before - it was because the connection was not set up properly. If you phone BT Internet up and tell them the problem they will be able to talk you through what to do step by step thus solving the problem!
