How can I paint my new entertainment center and make it look old?
Can you post a picture so we know what type of finish is already on there.

Sorry no picture but I want to paint it with a 100% acrylic paint. It's a mustard color. Thanks for any help
Hi, macd565!
There are paints that you can get at most paint stores and major hardware/home renovation stores that will dry to the appearance of the finish looking old.
It would help to know what your existing finish on the entertainment center is and if it is real wood on the surface or not.
Also, why are you insisting that the paint that you apply be 100% acrylic, please?
Thanks!
How about antique green, then use sand paper to remove paint? Remove paint in spots that it would ware in time if old.
Or you could distress it. This will cause some damage, but will make it look aged.
Hi, rockie100!
Yes, those are good ideas! I'm just hoping that it's real wood! Some furniture might look like it's real wood on the surface, when it's really not.
Thanks!
Hi, My entertainment center is real unfinished wood. I am not insisting on 100% acrylic its just that I have this mustard color paint that I love and have seen old furniture painted this mustard color then made to look old. Its an old fashioned mustard color. My home is 200 yrs. Old and the paint was bought to go with this period. Thanks for all the help.
