HELP! The remote will not shut off the fan. The light fixture works but I can't find the control panel to check to see if the remote switch matches the fan switch combination. I have 3 fans and only 1 remote seems to be working. The 3rd fan, nothing works, lights, fan nothing.

You're on the right track checking the dip switches. They are on the receiver, which is usually in the fan canopy, but sometimes in the motor housing (then the switches are usually on top of the motor) or in the switch housing (near the lights). See:
