    No Hot/Cold Water.sucking Sound
Ok so I woke up this morning and tried to take a shower. When I turned on the water nothing happened except for a hissing sound.

Immediately I figured oh no a pipe burst. I ran around the house and did not see nor hear any running water. So then I figured maybe a pipe froze. It was only a low of 43 degrees F last night so I ruled that option out. I tried all my fixtures and the following happened at every one of them:

    1. When I turn on the Hot water nothing happens and there is no sound.

    2. When I turn on the Cold water I am greeted with a "sucking" sound. The reason I say "sucking" is when I put my hand over the spout I can feel the reverse in pressure.

I have no idea what would cause this and am at a loss...

I have checked my main city line and its open and not damaged. Any ideas??

Go to your water meter and then find the first fixture connected to the line, usually an outside spigot or water heater. Close the main and open the line at the fixture, now just slightly crack open the main to see if you are getting any water. If no, call your water department.
