My fiance's mother is going through chemo and had to deal with the same issue after constant badgering and telling them that they where going to kill her they finally gave. I would try that first as for the legality of going to Canada for drugs I don't know. What I do know is that I really couldn't care what the government thought if it where my life on the line.
