Citizenship for mother of american born child in Texas
How do you go about getting citizenship or visa when your baby was born Texas?

Your baby is USC but if you, the mother, is an alien, you have to wait until your child is 21 y/o and meets the eligibility to file immigrant visa for parent(s).

If you don't want to spend big $$ on attorney fees, better not overstay in US.

If the father of the child is a USC and you get married, you may be able to get permanent residence, depending on the exact facts of the case.
